The IDX Broker MCP for Claude and ChatGPT
Run your IDX Broker account by chatting with an AI assistant: leads, saved searches, widgets, listings and market counts, without clicking through the dashboard. Self-serve sign-up is open. You need your own IDX Broker account.
A guide from IDX Webmasters, the Virtual Results IDX division. Not endorsed by IDX Broker.

Your IDX Broker account, in plain conversation.
MCP, the Model Context Protocol, is a standard way for an AI assistant to use real tools. The IDX Broker MCP is an MCP connection to one IDX Broker account: the one you connect for your organization. Ask “Who signed up on my site in the last three days?” or “Make me a saved link for East Sacramento, 3+ beds, under $900,000,” and the assistant calls the matching tool. Answers are mostly links, counts, embed codes and records from your own account.
It is part of the Virtual Results IDX MCPs family, alongside the iHomefinder MCP, with a Showcase IDX MCP coming soon. Each connection bundles WordPress tools.

Agents, small teams, and the people who run their sites.
Agents and teams
Follow up on leads, set up alerts for buyers, and send neighborhood links without opening the dashboard.
Marketers and webmasters
Audit and update widgets, saved links, custom CSS and sub-headers in one conversation, and paste the results into your site.
Any website
It does not require WordPress or a Virtual Results site. See the examples for each setup.
Sign up yourself, then connect your assistant.
- Sign up. Self-serve sign-up is open. Create your account and have your own IDX Broker account ready.
- Connect your assistant. Add the connector in Claude or ChatGPT and sign in with your Virtual Results login.
- Connect your IDX Broker key. Enter it on the private settings page the tools link you to, never in chat.
- Check it. Ask “Is my IDX connection working?” and look for a green status.

What is the IDX Broker MCP?
The IDX Broker MCP is an MCP connection that lets an AI assistant such as Claude or ChatGPT work with your own IDX Broker account: leads, notes, saved searches, saved links, widgets, your listings, MLS counts and account details. It has 100+ tools across 27 families.
Is it available now?
Yes. Self-serve sign-up is open, and you need your own IDX Broker account. If you want help getting set up, ask Virtual Results support.
Do I need WordPress or a Virtual Results website?
No. The tools only talk to IDX Broker. If you use WordPress, you paste the embed codes and links into your site yourself. The tools do not edit WordPress.
What do I need?
An IDX Broker account and its access key, plus a Virtual Results login for your organization once access is granted. An organization admin saves the key. Social Pro posting needs IDX Broker’s Social Pro add-on.
Is it safe to let an assistant change my account?
Reading is immediate and new records are verified after creation. Tools that change or delete something existing ask you to confirm twice before they run. Deleting in IDX Broker has no undo. See the safety guide for the full list.
Which assistants work?
MCP-capable assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT. Virtual Results sets up the connection with you. We do not claim it works with every AI client.
Is this endorsed by IDX Broker?
No. IDX Webmasters is the IDX division of Virtual Results, which provides the IDX Broker MCP. IDX Broker is a trademark of its owner and no endorsement is implied.
